Each Surface Plasmon Resonance instrument uses a virtually indestructible sapphire prism which provides high thermal conductivity and exceptional thermal stability and will provide years of trouble-free service.
2-channel 2SPR
The 2SPR provides real-time, label-free, simultaneous monitoring of sample and reference channels and is used to characterise molecular interactions in many scientific disciplines including but not limited to pharmaceuticals, drug discovery, antibody screening, proteomics, genomics and systems biology. The 2SPR’s modular design maximizes flexibility while greatly minimizing maintenance costs and is easily configured to carry out customized research. Semi-automated and automated configurations are available to meet your research needs and budget. The 2SPR system offers exceptional sensitivity that can measure kinetics of very low molecular weight compounds (< 100 Da) binding to larger targets and can also acquire data at very low immobilization levels. Temperatures are programmable, micro or macro flow cells are available for different surface work, and flow rates can be run fast or slow.
Main Features:
- Exceptional low noise (0.05 µRIU) and extreme low drift (0.01 µRIU/min)
- Monitor binding of low molecular weight compounds (<95Da)
- Broad refractive index range (1.32 to 1.40)
- Temperature control from 10° C below ambient to 70° C
- Fast data sampling rates (up to 10 Hz)
- Sophisticated software
- 21 CFR part 11 controls
- High sample capacity with Autosampler (up to 768 samples)
- Minimal assembly time – uses off-the-shelf HPLC fluidics
- Modular component-based design
- Retrofit or upgrade components anytime
For the 2SPR instrument, Reichert also offers specialized cells that provide the ability to combine SPR measurements with other valuable analytical techniques such as electrochemistry, photochemistry, fluorescence, mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography.
4-channel 4SPR
The new Reichert 4SPR maximizes efficiency, flexibility and increases throughput by providing unmatched sensitivity and baseline stability making it the ideal system for both macromolecular and small molecule kinetic or concentration determination experiments.
The 4SPR is the culmination of Reichert’s 15 years of developing affordable and extremely sensitive Surface Plasmon Resonance systems and features the latest advancements in optics, image sensing, electronics and software:
- High sensitivity +/- 0.05 μRIU rms noise – ideal for analysis of small molecules or very low concentrations of larger biomolecules. This high sensitivity reduces the required amount of sample and produces results even if a large portion of a protein population is inactive or denatured.
- Picomolar concentrations and equilibrium dissociation constants and has a low baseline drift (0.01 μRIU min-1) which improves data fitting.
- The most-robust fluid handling system designed to use standard tubing and fittings and which can run aggregate, precipitate or lysate samples. The fluidics tubing is easy to access and change for lower maintenance and operating costs.
- Seamless data analysis software with multiple binding models, easy data comparison, extensive reporting capabilities and numerous features to normalize and optimize data fitting.
